Solid dielectrics

The solid dielectric materials are used as dielectric materials in capacitors, e.g. mica, ceramics, barium titanate.

The liquid dielectrics are impregnated with solid materials such as paper, porous polymers and press board. These are used in transformers, switch gears, capacitors and cables.
